Katrina Vogan loves drama
I am a PhD student of English at York University, where I research pedagogy, drama, adaptation, and youth studies. My M.A. in Cultural Studies was from McMaster where I wrote a major research project on translation and verbatim theatre. I did my B.Sc. at the University of Toronto, and graduated with a a double major in Physics and Comparative Literature.
My dissertation research examines the role of the study guide in youth culture. I look at how university students use unauthorized learning resources like SparkNotes during their education.
